Save the app that could save your life – Emergency Plus.

 

In an emergency, time and location accuracy are critical. By downloading the ‘Emergency +’ app, you’ll equip yourself with a powerful tool that will help you call Triple Zero (000) quickly, and allow you to accurately communicate your location to emergency call-takers.

The app uses a mobile phone’s GPS functionality and what3words, so callers can provide emergency call-takers with their location information as determined by their smart phone.

BOM Weather is the Bureau of Meteorology's weather app, giving you the most accurate weather information at your fingertips.

 

The BOM Weather app includes Weather Warnings and Flood Alerts for your current location. You can set up Push Notifications for these Warnings and Alerts for one location.

Hazards Near Me shows current information about local emergencies, including flood, bushfire and tsunamis, and advice on what to do to stay safe. The app can send you push notifications when there are new incidents or when information changes.

WaterInsights provides in one place, comprehensive information about how water is managed and shared in NSW, presented in a way that is both transparent and easy to understand. The aim is help our customers to make more informed decisions and to help our community to be better informed. We show what water is present in storage and aquifers, what is allocated to licences, what has been used and what is available for use, the purposes for which water is used, the prices and volumes of water trading, our operational plans and the rules by which water is managed.

NSW State Emergency Service (SES) is an emergency and rescue service dedicated to assisting the community. We are a volunteer-based organisation that provides emergency assistance to the people of NSW 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. It is the approximately 9,000 volunteers across the state that make this possible. NSW SES Volunteers come from all walks of life, bringing with them many different skills, interests and backgrounds. They are united by the purpose of supporting their communities in times of need.
